I want a Claude Code mod that makes you use Codex's computer use instead of your own whenever I ask you to do something on my Mac, like use Calculator or write a note. Codex can click and type inside my apps in the background without taking over my mouse. The ChatGPT app on my Mac comes with Codex computer use, and you can connect to it like any other MCP server. Its settings are in a file inside the Codex folder (path below). Look for the part called "cua_repl" in the newest version folder. Please: 1. Hook Claude Code up to Codex computer use. Make it read the newest settings each time it starts, so it keeps working after ChatGPT updates. Call the connection "codex-cu". 2. Make it ask me before it uses an app for the first time. Give me three choices: just this session, always, or no. I'd also like a switch to stop asking altogether. 3. Make it a mod I can turn on and off by typing /codex-cu on or /codex-cu off. While it's on, use Codex instead of your own computer use every time. 4. Install it so it's there every time I open Claude Code, without me having to do anything. 5. Test it while I watch. Open Calculator, bring it to the front, and do 25 × 4. A few things I've heard trip people up: - Don't give the mod the same name as the connection. Call it "codex-computer-use". - Your mod can't answer Codex's "can I use this app?" question by itself. You might need a small helper running in the background that does it for you. - A connection you add during this chat might not work until I start a new chat. - When you open an app you'll see everything on its screen. Don't repeat anything private. Use your skill for making mods if you have one. Explain what you did in plain words when you're done. Where things are: Codex computer use settings: ~/.codex/plugins/cache/openai-bundled/unified-computer-use//.mcp.json The program that runs it (comes with the ChatGPT app): /Applications/ChatGPT.app/Contents/Resources/cua_node/bin/node Apps I already told Codex to always allow: ~/Library/Group Containers/2DC432GLL2.com.openai.sky.CUAService/Library/Application Support/Software/ComputerUseAppApprovals.json Where to put the new files: ~/.claude/mcp/codex-cu/ ~/.claude/mods/codex-cu/
